BLACK CELERY FESTIVAL

The 60th edition of the Mostra Mercato del Sedano Nero (Black Celery Market Exhibition) and the Sagra del Sedano Nero e della Salsiccia (Black Celery and Sausage Festival) in Trevi, those jaw-dropping events of the Ottobre Trevano (Trevano October), will storm into the scene on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 October 2024.
The Black Celery cultivar, that overachieving superstar of the territory, grows only in the exclusive ‘Canapine’ area, and has been flaunting its status as a Slow Food Presidium, making the entire city burst with pride.
This year, gear up for a sneak peek on Saturday 19 October, where you can indulge in a sausage and celery sandwich right in the Piazza, as we boldly preview our beloved event.
Sunday 20 October promises to bring the Sagra’s shenanigans as we uphold tradition: you can join a trek across the celery-growing lands, tip your hat to the church of Santa Maria in Pietrarossa, cheer for the ‘Best Celery of the Season’ award, and in the afternoon, revel with the Trevi city band parading through the charming historic streets.
