Wine and street food

In almost all the participating regions, it will be possible to find cellars flanked by local food trucks. And if anyone would also like to learn how to cook regional specialties, some wineries will make their cooking classes available.

Wine and art

Many regions prefer the combination of wine and art, with a wide range of initiatives. From the jazz concerts scheduled in Puglia to the art and sculpture exhibitions of the Veneto, passing through the tastings in Tuscany, during which each glass in the tasting will be combined with a piece of music chosen by a sommelier and a musician,. In all regions, it will still be possible to attend photographic exhibitions, shows, and other events to accompany the wines of the Cantine Aperte.

Wine and sports activities

There are numerous Piedmontese wineries to organize wine trekking sessions, in which visitors will walk along the enchanting hilly paths, stopping from time to time to taste a glass of good wine. Visits to the vineyard are also protagonists in Trentino Alto Adige, this time by e-bike.Then, yoga sessions are scheduled in PugliaVeneto, and Tuscany.

The Open Cellars Program 2023

Here are the programs of the 18 participating regions of Italy (Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Emilia Romagna, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Lazio, Marche, Molise, Piedmont, Lombardy, Sardinia, Tuscany, Trentino Alto Adige, Veneto, Puglia, Sicily and Umbria).

Abruzzo

43 wineries are ready to welcome guests with a smile and their wines. And for the occasion, between one cellar and another, also put a visit to an oil mill on your agenda! In collaboration with #EVOAbruzzo of #MTOAbruzzo, many companies in the region will also taste excellent olive oil, strictly from Abruzzo.

Basilicata

There are 19 wineries participating in the initiative, with tastings, lunches in the vineyard, and picnics in the splendid scenery offered by an unspoiled and suggestive region.

Calabria

Visits and tastings in 15 wineries participating in the event. Walks among the rows and in the shade of centuries-old olive trees, tasting of wines and typical and traditional products including cured meats and cheeses. And then sensory workshops and art exhibitions.

Campania

13 cellars offer picnics in the vineyard and on the terrace, suggestive visits at sunset and aperitifs under the stars, wine trekking and bike rides between the rows up to educational lunches and “typical pasta laboratories”. There will be no shortage of music and cultural moments.

Emilia-Romagna

38 wineries open the doors to wine tourism and provide the joy and emotions of conviviality. We report wine trekking between the rows, wine tastings and typical products.

Fiuli Venezia GiuliT

There are as many as 77 participating wineries: visits to the winery, tastings, food and wine delicacies, nature walks, sensory workshops, and evocative experiences will accompany the visitor. Do not miss the Dinners (Saturday 27) and Lunches (Sunday 28) with the Vignaiolo, with an exclusive menu and the meeting with the vigneron.
