AT LAVANDETO IT IS THE HOUR OF THE GARDEN “, FESTIVAL OF THE FLOWER SAGES.

PROGRAM AND INFORMATION: FESTIVAL OF SAGES AND OF THE GARDEN

At the park of the farm and nursery: IL LAVANDETO DI ASSISI Castelnuovo Di Assisi Via dei Laghetti (PG) Free admission Floricultural and handicraft market of the production of Il Lavandeto di Assisi.

“At Lavandeto it is the time of the garden” an event dedicated to nature and gardening. For the month of October, the month of St. Francis, a saint who infinitely loved nature, the gardens are open to the public for free. Here you’l find an amazing floral exhibition of unusual plants, flowers and  lavender crafts for purchase.

This ‘event organized privately by this small nursery,  is an opportunity to spend a weekend in the countryside admiring the beauties that nature offers, the garden of ornamental sages and the garden of aromatic herbs, ponds with water lilies and lotuses , all with the beautiful background of Assisi.

Each weekend the garden is open from 10:00 to 19:00; you can arrive and leave at any time, there is no need to book, you can bring the dogs if they are docile and on a leash. It takes place in the fields and gardens in Castelnuovo di Assisi, where you can walk and photograph in complete freedom (CHILDREN MUST BE CHECKED !!!).

In the gardens you will be able to learn about rare and easy to grow plants that have few needs and beautiful blooms.  At the sage festival you can visit the sage garden, the new garden of lively perennials, the gardens of aromatic plants, the two ponds with water lilies, lotuses, aquatic plants, marshes and goldfish and gambusias and other gardens with perennials and grasses.

Take part in the guided tours  in the morning (around 11.00 am) and in the afternoon (around 4.30 pm).

For lunch, street food is available from 11.00 to 15.00 with the Torta al testo, sandwiches.
