UMBRIAN FILM FESTIVAL 2024
The Umbria Film Festival was founded with the intention of bringing people together through their shared love of movies.

Thanks to the cooperation of London’s Riverside Studios, the town council of Montone (PG), and the Associazione Umbria Film Festival, the event has been held in the medieval town of Montone since 1997.
Every summer, the festival takes place in the second week of July.
All free screenings take place in the Piazza, a vital forum for public discourse that actively involves attendees and visitors alike.
A great program includes international premieres of films and shorts, exhibitions, talks, and masterclasses. The festival offers a selection of kid-friendly shorts every night, which is followed by a feature film.
Thanks to the efforts of our volunteers, the town council’s support, and the Artistic Direction’s tireless research, we are able to offer everyone the best of cinema culture. And in the midst of all of this uncertainty, Montone continues to draw crowds of moviegoers who understand that they are witnessing a unique event and can find solace in the eerily intimate atmosphere that each showing provides.
Thus far, the festival has featured more than 100 previews, 500 kid-friendly shorts, 50 side events (such as concerts, exhibitions, masterclasses, and panels), 100 works by upcoming filmmakers, and 50 prominent figures from the international film industry.
The Umbria Film Festival has become an established event that is anticipated by actors, directors, celebrities, and movie buffs alike.
