XMAS FIERA DELLA CERAMICA

On the weekend of December 2nd and 3rd, Florence will transform into the capital of ceramics, welcoming 90 contemporary ceramists from all over Europe for a special Christmas edition of the Ceramics Fair. Give a beautiful unique object as a gift this Christmas.

Visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of ceramics through engaging activities such as educational workshops, live demonstrations, and insightful discussions on complex ceramic firing techniques, particularly focusing on wood-fired ovens.

Among the participating artists, the renowned Marco Bonechi from Valdarno will showcase his award-winning terracotta sculptures. Additionally, French artist Yvon Gauchot will present his exquisite creations using the “terre vernisee” technique, which gives a stunning glass-like appearance to the ceramics. The exhibition will also feature stoneware ceramics by Englishman Robert Cross from Gabbiano Studio Pottery, fired in a unique combination of wood and gas ovens, perfect for enhancing both home and garden aesthetics. Notably, the Ceramics School of Vietri sul Mare (Salerno), a prominent institution for training young ceramists, will also be present, showcasing the remarkable works of its talented students.

This festive gathering promises to be a celebration of creativity and artistry, offering a memorable experience for both ceramic enthusiasts and those new to the world of ceramics.
